Prepare To die

Contributed by kayden on Sunday, 24th July 2005 @ 12:08:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

When I came home today
I saw her on the floor
I yelled and ran away
It hurt me to the core

When I came home today
I wanted to jump in her arms and say
I'll still love you after tomorrow
Now that love has turned to sorrow

Now pain is the only thing that will stay
She has taken happiness to the grave
Should I suffer the same fate
For my own head as the bait

Who cares if i die alone
She'll be mine next to my gravestone

When all I lived for was taken away
My oly purpose is to decay
For without you I will fade
Fade away to gun or blade

Time for good byes
All broken ties
All peace no distress
I am, eternally, at rest

Hm...well over all I liked it, I'll paste a couple of my favourite lines from it.
"Who cares if i die alone
She'll be mine next to my gravestone"

"For without you I will fade
Fade away to gun or blade"
Great use of repitition.

"I am, eternally, at rest"
I thought that made a great ending line. It really wrapped up the poem.
