‘Oh’ what a happy child’ they all say
But they don’t live my life day after day
A life full of broken promises, hurt, and pain
Sometimes I wonder if I really am sane
‘Cause they don’t know what I’ve been through
The lord has helped me through so much and I still don’t know what to do
I always look back on my life at night
And it seems as if I cant do anything that I try
So I just give up with nothing but a sigh
‘Cause when they look in my eyes
They’ll never know how much I am trying to hide
But I hide it so well
That they’ll never know my life is a living hell
I hide everything with a smile
‘Cause that is my mask that no one can break through
No matter how hard they try too
I’ll never let anyone know the truth I hide
So I’ll just keep living my life which is a lie

wow... it's like you explained my life, too. i know what it's like- no one knows you are in pain. even though you are standing in cold rain. no one can see it- 'cause you hide it so well. i understand this poem a lot. and it was very well written and you expressed yourself well through it- good job! keep up the good work!
