Waiting for Nothing

Contributed by englishprincej on Friday, 22nd July 2005 @ 06:34:43 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Anxiously I wait
Shifting my weight from foot to foot
Palms sweaty
Mind racing, thoughts, feelings, ideas
Sleep, yeah, I remember the concept, but I can't
I'm waiting

For too long we've been apart
For too long I've been incomplete
For too long I've waited to kiss her, to hold her
To look at her
To be with her

I'm waiting
Each passing moment brings her closer
Each passing moment increases my nerves

She's not coming
At least for now, may as well be for ever
I fall.......hard
From the peaks of happiness to the depths of despair
Will we ever be together ?
Will I ever be complete ?

It hurts so much
Waiting for every birthday and Christmas to come at once
Then nothing, just a black hole
A long dark never ending hole.

Hey
great poem...I really enjoy the part whereby you so vividly describe the hopes and then the crestfallen dreams...
good luck
