It was that morning, Saturday I think
That we sat together, capturing images
Brightly painted, with silly voices
It was your favorite cartoon
Your voice high and girly, back then
Not yet transformed into its deepest hum
Laughing hysterically at the insulting names
That only children know
Then, you did not care for appearances
Running around manically, posing
In your blue and white he-man underwear
Truly, it was your best costume
Yes it was Saturday, that morning
That we sat united as brother and sister
Keeping our innocence
As only children can

This is definately a unique but simple and funny memory to recount, and you did so in a very vivid and fluid way... you capture the essence of childhood, the silliness of it, in this piece. Thanks for sharing. |
