Carving the ice
Shreddig the slope
You feel the board catch
And you contact the ground
The pains unbearable
But you love it
You'd do it all over
Even to just fall
The board slips underneath
You roll down the hill
People pass and laugh
But you don't care
To do what you love
Not many can
You con't get better
Unless you fail

I like this one, too. Optimistic feeling and carefree.
I'm positively giddy at the thought of you writing poetry.
Keep it up... ENCORE!!!

Initially I read your poem because I like all forms of nostalgia. But, wow--when I read it I was THERE! I really liked the positive way you reflected on falling and you not caring. It sounds like you had a great time.
I couldn't find any fault with this poem and the overall feel was just what I needed this morning.
I hope you have many more trips---so you can write many more like this!
Awesome.

The misspellings hinder this poem but it captures a snowboarder's high. I liked it. |
