i reach into the fire

i reach into the fire
you look at me from under
your eyes shiver
i hold
ill hold
be bold, please, be bold
soon, we will be, soon
youll see me
come dancing night apon the shores racing fires
the earths surface was burning
the flames shook in their eyes
as they watched, took the time to give their last goodbyes
i saw her
coming of the water
walking in from distance
a distance never to be seen
a grace
a ghost of such glory
she walked on on to me
"i know" i said with my eyes... sank into my heart... sank sank sank ... still sinking... but now, incomplete,
unadorned the world thrown out
ripped upon my eyes
now i am the water
swallowing their goodbyes

so sweet you are my girl
my honey thick and aching
gentle and by so many harmed
how you found inside, inside come inside, i will find, we will find, there must be a light,
there must be a light .... somwhere
mothers come again, hold our tears on their shoulder
hold our fears in their hearts....
how, how ripped away, how abandoned we are, how plundered our love
how terrifying is the day
when we all seem to
awake.........

awake to nothing
awake to freedom...
for this is your wish...
she is dying, under the ashes, upon the shore, you see her
dont deny it because there is too much unseen, i have seen the fire in your eyes, i have witnessed tin what desert you confide,
starving, starving we are under the blinking of these stars, god come to us, spell it out wont you, come among us, see how our bodies twist and turn, see how our love burns, burns into tears... these cycles, winter spills out... the warmth we come into, we shake about... the twist and turn once, we seamed.. an ocean worn in eyes, we tremble through these hhorrible goodbyes... how the cycle continues to take, take and take and take and take and take and take and take ... how do we conquer this feeling... this universal ache....
when the ache is universal, the one is lost beyond beleif, gripping his life by his teeth...

i reached into the fire
you looked at me from under
you took my heart with you
i left the shoreline with a feather
grasped in my cold hands
she is free, so very free
how i wish to be....

but there was a whisper
from lips angelic
thats softness was felt all along the night line
" i hold, ill hold, be bold please be bold, soon we will be, soon
youll see me"

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
