Nobody Knows

Contributed by sylviawalters on Thursday, 21st July 2005 @ 06:36:35 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Nobody know what it’s like to be me

What’s on the outside is all they see

But on the inside, I hide the lies

As much as I know it’s not wise.

People don’t notice, that I cut

They don’t know, I’ve fallen into a rut

People tease me all day at school

Maybe it’s because they think it’s cool

I hide behind a mask of indifference, pretending I don’t care

Most people only care about what they’re going to wear

My friends think I’m happy here, the believe the mask

I want someone to understand, is that too much to ask?

So please see through my exterior

Don’t make me feel too inferior

I just don’t see why I should even try

I’m so upset, I can’t even cry

Please tell dad I’m doing my homework

Otherwise I’m sure he’ll go berserk.

Well I’d best be off, the blade calls

Please call me when the sun falls.
