Hiding The Hurt

Contributed by Shyness on Wednesday, 20th July 2005 @ 09:57:05 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

When I can feel the dirt under my feet,
I fight back the urge to disappear down the street,
There are just way to many problems for me here,
Even when I’m home I’m overwhelmed by fear,
Every time I start to let my thoughts go astray,
My mind hollers out that I should run away,
But know matter what I am forced to go threw,
Staying here at least for now is what I must do,
A new way to calm down I am forced to find,
Because I refuse to leave those I love behind,
So I will use all of my energy and power,
To force myself to stay here from hour to hour,
All of my thoughts had begun to flood,
And my fist met a wall until they made blood,
An easier way there has to have been,
Even if there isn’t I can’t do that again,
But as I sit here on this night,
I am forced to fight off my urge of flight,
How I wish I could just go,
But my wish and my pain I must not show,
Even if it drives me totally insane,
From this moment on I will show no pain,
I can still remember the sight of my blood drop,
When will all of this madness finally stop,
But if I were to share my pain with someone,
Then I would be the ***** that ruined there fun,
So I’ll keep my eyes open and stay alert,
I’ll just bit my tongue and try to hide the hurt.
