She shouts and screams
throwing her arms into the air
losing her dignity
but she did care about that right then.
He told her that she was beautiful
That she was all he ever wanted
You are lovely as the sound of music
Extracting from those headphones.
He held every night after walking her home
When she could sleep she’d listen to him
Talk about great summer would be
But then winter ended
And those walks home seemed to be shorter
And his voice was replaced by Tylenol PMs
Tears burned her cheeks when she’d wake up
And not see her phone blinking with missed calls.
No ever asked her how it felt to be in love anymore
It was like everyone knew it end
