Anguish of Life

Contributed by sride686 on Wednesday, 20th July 2005 @ 08:18:17 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Dark Depths filled with blood
Dark cold waters that continue to flood
Pain inside filled with greed
Hate in me that continues to bleed
My vision goes black
As death is in site
Hate in me as I continue to fight

Questions flood with storms from the past
How long must I live
And this anguish last
Distrust in my words
With lies that I spoke
Pain in my voice
For my life is revoked

Deceit in my heart
That rips me apart
Drains out my life
So my pain can depart
Its taken away as darker I fall
Swimming in blood
As I fall from it all

very dark for sure! i like it a lot and was especially taken by the last stanza... i love the imagery! It doesn't seem as often you write these darker poems.. but when you do, they're very, very strong.
