Passing Me By...

Topic: oops

I feel the world passing me by
I'm like a picture mute and still
It's an awkward feeling I can't defy

The clouds are flying
no one really sees me
I don't give up I keep trying

I'm kind of like a mime
nobody ever hears
fall faster the sands of time

But you, you stopped to read me
to pull me back into the race
said to just let the past be

No matter how hard I try
now I can't catch up
the world still passing me by

But at least I'm going somewhere
And someday I'll finally...
finally get there

This poem really reminds me of my favourite song 'Standing Still' by Jewel. Nice write here. :-)
