i'm alone on this path, i'll let fate do the math
as i seek a drug suited to me
powdered red eyes, bleed hateful dark lies
but are they not better than free?
a walk with addiction's like reading sick fiction
perhaps i was never quite cured
i tried to make art, like bad actor playing part
in life, i was never secured
i fell from a wing, onto needles that sting
or was it a thorn from a rose?
i tried to cry out, but my voice would die out
and red would then run from my nose
it's just all this madness, this swirling blue sadness
that keeps me now locked in a pill
i'll sit faking smiles, while inside raking miles
of leaves that will never stay still
so i drown darker still, to my abyss in a pill
then sink into oceans that hide
the sharks of my heart, tear me terribly apart
i have shallow truth deep inside...

Wow! This is one powerful poem. It relates a tragic story as do most people with a drug/alcohol addiction and disease. If this is your story and current situation, you know you are not alone. There are good treatment programs and support systems. If not you it is still worth sharing for the sake of others.
Thank you for sharing this, perhaps it will really help someone. We are never alone, keep the faith.
