SUMMER FOG
By Marty RicKard
The grey gauze of earth’s breath
a web to make formless the disorder
and soften thy beauty
The wrinkled shed with shingles
that fled
last summer’s storm
becomes a Monet
And the perfect evergreen
the sentinel guarding the ghosts
at Potters Field
more lovely in its lacey shroud
So
if in the mist the ugly
morphs to loveliness
and the lovely is more lovely still
Might a heart fog find the joy
in the Hydes
and forgive
the Jekylls
their creation
Fog
peacemaker
grey ghost of loveliness
God’s breath
A whisper
in the heart of wisdom

Very nice write. Your imagery is very good. The problem with fog though, is the sun always dissipates it and the ugly comes right back. Don't think we could live in fog forever, but the thought is nice.
