The Beach.........

I sit and feel....the calm breathing of
nature, so soft on my face..it slowly shuts
my eyes and makes me feel warm inside..I
allow it to take me places in my mind that
in reality are untouchable....
I sit and smell and taste...the salt air
blowing in off the harbour..it makes me
feel alive and clean..clean from the
mistakes from the past....
I sit and listen...to the pounding of angry
waves that beat against the shore..and it
makes my life seem less chaotic..it makes me
aware of the power it has over everything
in its reach...
I sit and look at the stars...so small and
bright in the sky..they give me hope
that things will be ok..even if they are
so far out of reach...they make life better..
Here sitting in the sand...I realized I held
the world in the palm of my hand...
