she's very dark eyes
and sleeps like a baby
turning her hair to a morning's blue fading
i like her true
but i dislike affection
that weighs me down like a world
love's such a burden
a minefield of words
and yet she comes to me forward
what will it take
to remove her care
and her wonder at why that i paint
she'd like to see
what's brewing in me
but that's for me to relate
i want her to whisper
she's quite a good listener
but paint won't create on its own
so smother me sometime tomorrow...
