Broken.........

Broken......

The foundation shifts.
Shaken to its very core.

The power of a quake.
The sound of natures' roar.

A crack begins to appear.
Heat rising by the hour.

Layers of the surface,
being split by an inner power.

One last surge of strength,
One last taste of being complete.

Then it's over in a second.
Overwhelming defeat.

Unbridled pain being unleashed.
Flames rise to great heights.

Hope is engulfed by fire.
Replaced by lonely nights.

The keeper of bliss, no longer alive.
A heart blistered with a scorching throbs

The brother of happiness, forever torched.
Now cooled by white hot sobs.

Do not read these words with little regard.
Take heed to what I've spoken.

An pain simmers inside me,
for my heart is broken...
