I cant believe we our no longer together
But, can I be a memory
A happy one at that
One you can hold on to forver
If only life was
A rough draft
We could search for our mistakes
Rewrite it and settle for an appaluse
Maybe we wouldnt be in this mess
If we just tried harder
But I'm exhausted
I can no longer handle the stress
Let your life live on
Without me by your side
I'll always be watching
For at the end of this poem, I am forever gone

Wow, excellent write...interesting topic, and you got me thinking (as all great poets will do for their readers). If my life was a rough draft, I think I'd buy stock in white out lol. Thanks for sharing. |
