In case you remember me
i'm hugging the tiled floor
cold and rugged
not embracing, still not rejecting
in case you come back
i'm still looking in my mirror
locked behind the bathroom doors changing
and for you i bow oh i remember how
i hold the blade and i'm not quite ashamed
in case you remember
i'm terrified to die but slowly dying
terrified to find that truth is lying
and you won't remember
i'm still waiting
where are your arms to grip my shoulders
i'm huddled shivering, eighty pounds and losing
in case you remember this is your choosing
tell me what you swore you would never forget
tell me that i'm better
i'm worth more than this
in case you remember
i'm still clutching your picture and promise
believing and denying that you'll come back
i'm changing and i'm not so sure you'd remember
me
if we bumped elbows on the streets
it'd be vane
you've forgotten that in my waiting
i surrender
no longer terrified to die
and still dying
believing now that truth is lying
and i'm not waiting
no i'm not waiting
in case you remember
i'm changing
