Everyday I kneel and pray
Just to hear you say
I’m sorry for the way
I betrayed you on that day
Just to know you’re sorry
Just to know you care
The comfort it would bring
Would make it so much easier to bear
I don’t know what is happening
I don’t know what you believe
I’m lost in a sea of black
Wondering if you’re still deceived
I’m a constant state of confusion
Wanting you to be safe for me
This is only a delusion
We can’t go back and just be
I wish this had never happened
I wish you had never cared
Never having this friendship
Is better than the loss I must now bear
You may be just fine
Your heart left unscarred
But I can’t have happy memories
They have all been marred
Every time I think of one
I question of your intent
Was this all a nasty plan
For which I so easily went
I miss the conversations
Had sitting in your den
I miss your encouragement
And the father you have been
I miss the infectious joy
That only you contained
I just miss you
And my heart is pained
I just don’t understand
Where it all went wrong
I didn’t see it coming
Had it been going on long?
Why didn’t I see this
Why was it hid from me?
I feel so stupid
I didn’t even flee
Was I just that helpless?
Was I easy game?
I know it wasn’t beauty
I know it wasn’t fame
I know that I’m sorry
Sorry for everything
Not much consolation
Can unread words bring
So I will continue my prayer
To hear those precious words
Knowing that God is there
And at least He has heard

It's been awhile
You sound like you're still adrift on stormy waters.
I can't log on here...some sort of password problem...I've emailed them but still no luck.

Sorry to hear that you haven't been able to get on. Although this poem looks to the contrary, I am doing much better. I have my moments though. I was glad to see your post. Hope all is well with you.
