Dance the dance of the firefly
Gossamer wings in the midnight sky
Soft pale light does darkness defy
Take flight without a care
Stars so close, but yet so high
Moonlight reflected in my eye
Beauty such as this, I cannot deny
Tonight is mine, not meant to share
Widespread wings absorb the heat of July
Forget plans and dreams that went awry
For tonight I dance with the firefly
And turn away from my despair.
