Violet King

Contributed by Blu on Friday, 15th July 2005 @ 12:06:22 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Soft of light
he dances forward
knowing where secrets are buried
he smiles all the same

Speaking little
he says too much
his wanderings have wounded
though draped in uncertainty

He ravishes the street
his fire has consumed what the eye touches
and burned what the pen can still feel
though they still amble past

It is his song that is familiar-
taking the poet into its own
and crushing and forming anew
even when the chorus is too much

While the memories are tied
to the very essence that moves him forward
though he says he is disturbed
and does not want to know why

He moves all too languidly
fluidly captivating his audience
and stealing at the same time-
he presses forward relentlessly

My violet king, you have darkened my soul
