selfstruggles

I want to figure myself out
What makes me tick
in this universe
What on earth
makes me this way
How did I get here
Where was I before
I know all the answers
Remembering....
Is the key to unlocking the door
I get glimpses of pictures
sometimes
Coming on to my minds screen
other places I've been
was it a past life or....
a long forgotten dream
Scents I sometimes detect
very briefly in my space
reminders of someone
something
some long forgotten face
many unanswered questions
befuddle my simple human mind
I cannot hear....
I cannot see.....
Social conditioning has made me
blind.

My sentiments exactly. I love the poem and agree whole heartedly with the closing line. Social conditioning does make us blind, although is can open our eyes as well, which I think your poem does. |

I like the thought process going on in this write...I can relate very well to what you're saying. Very frustrating! So many questions, and so few answers in life...Nice job with this piece.
