the sun cleaves the veil
of cotton so white
my heart lov'ngly pierced
by gold'n ray so brite
my free will dries up
my soul totally hers
imagining freedom
gives me the shivers
this cage is so gilded
it is my new home
she eases my pains
i'm never alone
cage metal expands
into a portcul-lis
safe behind solid stone
we enjoy our first kiss
a portcullis
