Minds vie for wills unfulfilled and empty.
But, hearts yearn for what should belong to them.
You know not that you should belong to me?
‘Tis love, not greed that makes a jealous friend
Alas, what greed’s not love nor love’s not greed?
So, rain down, pour upon my barren land.
You are the rain what all that I will need
Reflect the morning light to come again.
Like that of rippling puddles in rainfall
That which is true melts like mercury
As your grace were to poison the vain pall
As gems lose luster throughout a century
I beg you invest in me and not forget,
For your life I’d not hold mine to forfeit.

This is really good! More then one stanza would make it easier to read though! And some puncutation...but really good! |
