Why does a man
Tolerably uneducated
Mainly inattentive
Certainly lazy
Write poetry?
A man like him plays sports
A man like him speaks of women he adores
A man like him is not supposed to have feelings outside this realm
Football, beer, and red meat are all society gives him
He enjoys all these things, but he is so much more
Why not true love, a family, and complexity?
Success drives him, women divide him, music inspires him
There is no stereotype, to each their own
He has ink on his skin, but he is no rebel
It’s the message he believes in unquestionably
Happiness, contentment, and complete fulfillment
He is an average male by all accounts, but this means nothing to him
Average puts a price on things that should not be assessed
Average has boundaries, but he certainly has none
