Innocence I will not take away

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Thursday, 14th July 2005 @ 03:13:49 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

There is this innocence in her eyes
This shimmer I treasure
That I never want to take away
But I can not help how I feel
It is hard not to want her
The way that lovers do
She is amazing to me
And I am so overwhelmed
That she even notices that I am alive
She could have any one she wished
But she chose me to show me
This kindness and warmth
And to tell me her life
From the moment we met
I could not help but want to make it mine
To hold her high out of the darkness
And into the light
And take all her pain away
It is the least I can do
She saved me
And does so everyday
What we have to me
Is something I thought
Could never exist
In the world out side my dreams
She means so much to me
Her heart and soul are too precious
And far too beautiful
For me to ever hurt or betray
She means too much to me
The gentleness in her shows me the way
To see the world through new eyes
With her in my life Heaven can take its time
In showing me what I ask to
Or maybe just maybe she really is an AngeL
And I am not just being sweet
If so I would not have picked another angel
She is god’s most beautiful work of art
The most beautiful and moving poem ever written
And I am so overjoyed that I can wake up
Every day and say that I am hers
And not that she is mine
Because being hers I know I will never break
And I could be the best I could ever be
I could be some one I could never have dreamt of becoming
And she is the only one who could make me feel this way

Par excellence!! Maybe others should remember the saying "let he who has committed no sin, cast the first stone."
