Dear Grandpa

Contributed by James_McMorn on Friday, 10th January 2003 @ 07:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Dear Grandpa can you hear me?
let me know if your ok,
I just wanted to tell you Grandpa
In my heart you'll always stay.

I remember the way you'd read to me
and tell me about the war,
And if i had just one simple wish
It would be for you to tell me more.

I remember the everlasting smile
romantic upon your face,
The most successful man i ever knew
your footsteps i will trace.

The way you'd make Grandma happy
and you'd both laugh and joke around,
The way you used to play fight with me
and wrestle me to the ground.

The way you'd always watch snooker
and try to teach me how to play,
the way you'd try to cheat at cards
in my heart it will always stay.

I love and miss you badly
I hope that your ok,
We will be re-united sometime
I know it, some how, some way.

But until then you take care
you'll always be in my heart,
I just can't wait to see you again
so then we can never be apart.

I love you Grandpa. Your Grandson, James.
