Love Abandoned

Contributed by bluoreo on Wednesday, 13th July 2005 @ 09:54:27 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Forging through the territories in my head
I still remember every word you said
They're with me and close to my heart
Although most of it is broken apart

I found love in the wrong place
But there were no flaws in your beautiful face
You were perfect in every way
You always found the right words to say

I miss you so much my love
You flew away like a graceful dove
I was close behind your tail and chased after you
But the closer I got, the faster you flew

I cried alone and sat in wait
I was displeased with my turn of fate
It should be you and me together as one
But our treasured bond has come undone

Somehow along the line you lost sight
I tried my best to put up a fight
You were stronger than I and won the war
I clutched my heart and fell to the floor

Friends are what we are now
But I still feel your love somehow
I know you miss me and how you feel
I can see inside you at what is real

Maybe some day we'll be again
Go to the place where we'll begin
I'll find you there in all your splendor
And to eachother, our hearts we'll surrender

You'll walk up to me and kiss my lips
It'll send shivers to my finger tips
I'll fall into your arms and hide in your chest
And that is where we'll lay to rest
