Days like this take a toll on me. With despair I search the faces of strangers hoping you are among them. The separation we face is a knife in my heart, unavoidable and intense the pain poisons my soul. All I want is to whisper in your ear but my words are unable to touch you. I am terrified you will forget me and set me aside in your heart and mind. I am more terrified I will forget you. These are the times when I need you most but the world wishes to keep us apart. The sour taste of time is on my lips instead of your sweet kiss. The cold wind is all I feel instead of your gentle caress. My heart weakens on days like this; so unsure am I of my own strength to carry on. I hate days like this.

I know this feeling. I just refuse to give into it. Seems to me when life looks the bleakest is right before happiness arrives. Maybe it is to see if we deserve it. Who knows. Great write.

This was written very well. I know it's cliche, but I can really relate to this. Especially right now. Just know that you are not alone with this feeling of loss. Hope all is well.
