Waiting for death’s release
So that my soul may find some peace
Time to forget this dreaded disease
The end will justify the means
Wasted away human debris
Floating on life’s barren sea
For me this world has no need
So now is the time to bleed
Nothing more have I to give
Not even knowing how to live
My punishment has no crime
But now I must serve my time
Blinded by mistakes from the past
So now I draw my breath of last
There will be no song for me
No tears, no grief, no eulogy
So now it is time to say goodbye
Like everything that lives I surely die

Amazing!
I dont know why other people havent commented on this brilliance piece. It is very powerful and dark.
The word flow is excellent.
I like this, it's a winner.
Well done fellow poet! |
