i've spent my life
chasing rainbows
i've been pricked
by loves red rose
its rained on me
and then it poured
i gave it my all
and i was ignored.
then there was you.
you were my shelter from the rain
you were my shield against the pain
you protect me from the strife
you brought sunshine on my life
you are my pot of gold
