you feel the earth
shaking profoundly
and you know all of the
children are sleeping soundly
your eyes wide awake
but your body limp
you see the streets filled
with whores and their pimps
your only survival
is to turn your head
pollution thick
civilization dead
your bullid into believing
this world is for you
but when you look around
you fear there is nothing to do
you sit alone
like the world is surprising
but you've been fooled
by truth's uprising

Interesting! I like the strong natural flow to this. You've a rather grim take on it all, but I won't say it's not pretty close to correct. Keep it up.
