Too shallow

The untested soul is too shallow for you
The untested soul is of no value to you
Within this land of giants
One must know compliance
This is for all who rage against the machine
For all those lives that go unseen
This is for the double agent
As well as for the regent
In this world beyond the shadows
Just beyond the gallows
It is we who make the rules
And we who hold the jewels
For all those who will never know fame
There is no reason to feel shame
We’ve done our job
We’ve controlled this mob
So when you feel lonely
And when you feel homely
Just remember your friends
Your friends until all ends
Remember that you are not alone
And that together we make this place home
Remember your dreams
And all things obscene
For we are behind you
Or right there beside you
Whether you see us, or not
We know you are part of our lot
