To God's Arms

Contributed by bgj on Tuesday, 12th July 2005 @ 02:44:38 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

Go in peace my child
The end of pain has come
You must leave me for awhile
You’ll be safe in god’s arms.

Close your heavy eyes
The joy of heaven awaits
My love is always with you
It’s all you can take.

Now no more tears my love
God wipes them all away
The warmth of his sweet love
Will keep your fears at bay.

So fly on wings of love
Fly to heavens gate
We’ll be together soon
It’s only a short wait.

Rest in divine bliss my sweet
You’ll soon see me again
We’ll meet where sorrow has no hold
Goodbye my heart till then.

This is a very "soft" write showing the peace that one has made with another's departure, and ending it with the hopeful comfort of seeing each other again was a nice touch. I enjoyed reading this.

Peaceful and hopeful. It reminds me of the way I felt after I had found peace about the death of a friend...especially the lines "The end of pain has come" and "The joy of heaven awaits". Thank you.
