A better man...........
there's no competition...
he can't compare...
he wins your heart with words...
i, by a captivating stare...
there couldn't be a better choice...
i'm so much stronger...
i've always known what i wanted...
and i can't wait any longer...
what you two share doesn't matter...
what we have comes from the inside...
opportunity slipped from my grasp before...
but now i won't be denied...
i need you more than words can say...
and for you heart, i will contest...
those who oppose me will fall...
for when it comes to your heart, i'm what's best...
he and i were close...
in fact, we're one in the same...
we parted ways not long ago...
from the moment you said my name...
i've been released from my inner cell...
now for you, i will do all that i can...
because your love has lifted me...
i'll forever be a better man...

Aw this was a beautiful write! I really like the ending... the tone to this poem seems really sad yet you're determined and it shows through, a very manly poem with a soft side, I like it.
Well done, keep up the great writes!
