So if I'm dying where are you?

Contributed by weepingprophet on Monday, 11th July 2005 @ 08:01:38 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

And i'm so over that moment
i'm not reminiscing
not close to missing you

you promised you'd been blinded
been stupid and regretful
the saddest moment of your life
marked by my departure from your heart
the happiest marked by our hands together
our days and nights in submission to love
and if i were dying you said you'd say
you love me and you always have

from the day you first held me
first told me
first cherished
i believed the past would reconveine
when you fell from the face of the planet
and i couldn't follow

so the past came back to eat the present
and if i'm dying why won't you say
what you promised?
that you love me
because you lied

and i'm so over that moment
when you swore to me on everything precious
when you touched my hand and melted me
i'm over the shaking voice on the phone
the shaking hand in my pants
the stuttered love and forgiveness
i'm over it and i'm so over you

so if i'm dying where are you
where's my superhero
why did i wake up at all today
why did i uncover this planet
you're gone

and i'm so over it

**** you we're over

I like this poem, too. It's very easy to relate to.
