Your Disease

Contributed by Kie-Kie on Monday, 11th July 2005 @ 05:03:58 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I can feel it in my veins
Your sickness, your disease
The vile lies you told me
Before throwing me to my knees
It's crawling beneath my skin
Waiting for me to succumb
To the symptoms you hoped to pass on
When you left my heart so numb
It's patiently waiting deep within
Hoping for that day
When I cave in and can't take anymore
It'll come out to play
When my heart stops forgiving
This poison will rush through
My whole body, every vein
Will be as twisted and cruel as you
When I stop caring, stop pitying
You and those the same
I'd hate to be in your shoes
Because I'll be one livid dame
So lucky for you my heart is strong
Though I'm in so much pain
Your decietful infection that rests within
Will never, through me, see light again

excellent. its nice to finally come across your poetry. well i cant really say they are diseased, but that is actually a good topic for its original and you expressed that extremely well. this brought to mind the song, the virus of life by slipknot, because it does remind you of stalkers in the first bit and the whole disease thing. this was very impressive and amazing. i loved the ending. i must visit more of your poems soon.

A good portrayal of a social and psychological disease that attacks and ravages the very essence of intregrity and dignity. A topic that needs the exposure.

Well done

Will
