I Will Search Forever

There’s something that I’m missing
I feel it lurking here
I’m not just reminiscing
It’s taking over me

I’m held up by my glass legs
Will they shatter?
I’m hidden by my own pain
Can you find me?

Searching for something that I’ve lost
I’m too far under
I don’t have one chance for mending
I’m torn asunder
I know now what I have become
A lonely blunder

My screams are ready to begin
Do you hear them from within?
I know you’re out there to be found
But something has kept me bound
I’m broken, which I know you see
I can hear you cry for me
Though you’re so close I know it’s true
I’ll never get to see you

This isolated world of mine
Is not all I bear
For so long I’ve been forgotten
Living with despair
The next thing I hold so close
I cannot see there

Is what I feel really there?
Could this be fake?
I can feel all that I lack
I know it’s near

I do not know what you are
I do know I need you
You’ve left an eternal scar
And I’ll search forever

I like you poem because I've also searched for that something out there for me. Something to do with my life and someone to love.
