Thin Red Line

Contributed by merry on Sunday, 10th July 2005 @ 10:52:31 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Thin red line where souls tumble from
Free fall into the arms of strangers
I run that red line through my fingers
Feel the silky threads of temptation pull me
Closer to the edge of something dangerous
Are you there? Will you catch me when I fall?

Your voice caresses my senses
I still remember it from so long ago
We stayed up all night long talking
Silly the things you remember
I can hear you call my name sometimes
When the night is too dark and sleep won't come

Are we on the same train racing through the night
We have to ask ourselves and wonder
Risky business makes us feel alive
And we understand each other so perfectly
I put out the match with a blink of my eye
Your laughter echoes against my heart

Come in, sit down and stay with me
When day is done I am your rest
Lie down and breathe deep
Let dreams take you away with me
When first we touch we'll surely know
We begin at the beginning and can't let go

This is so beautiful Gaille...so full of that "human" touch that you put in your writes. When I read this it's as if it were written to me personally..thats your gift. ( smiles) A love letter that anyone would die to have written to them.
Very well done
