Top Of The World

Contributed by xxbreathlessx on Sunday, 10th July 2005 @ 09:09:22 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Hush me to sleep -
In a lullaby for dreamers.
And when the stars fall,
Make a wish, you seeker.
As fire blazes across the midnight sky,
Hold your breath, you hopeful.
When the sun sets,
Close your eyes, you angel,
And anticipate for the clouds to hear your plea.
In the morning hours,
When the clock is turning,
Stop for a moment
And visualize your dreams,
So close you can taste them
On the tip of your expectant tongue.
Waiting for the moment,
For the perfect time
To gather all your dreams and run.
Straight for desire,
Straight into fantasy.
Straight into illusion,
Hoping not to fall.
And when you reach that dream, sweet doll,
Tell me how the top of the world feels,
Before you lose it all.
