tears are more than water
theyre a priceless piece of art
they show the raw emotions
that are made in the heart
when i first met you, i needed you
to see your smiling face
its what kept me going each day
you filled an empty space
you taught me so many things
that i had to believe
though i klnew the day was coming
when you would have to leave
i had lost all faith in myself
all i did was cry
you taught me how to laugh again
you gave me wings and made me fly
you took my hand and showed me how
to find my own sweet way
you held me, kissed me, squeezed me tight
with every passing day
i put away my bad thoughts
up high, to collect dust on a shelf
you taught me how to trust again
you helped me find myself
i caught you and i lost you
now ive learned so much
you are so magickal, did you know?
and you have healing in your touch
im sorry if ive lost you completely
even as a friend
because even if were not together
it doesnt have to end
im leaving it up to you now
remember youre a great guy
i hope eventually well be friends
i love you and goodbye.

What a beautiful poem... It brought a tear to my eye to read, because I had a similar experience myself like that... In fact I showed my "vernon" your poem and he agrees, it is perfectly written... Very nice write. :)
