The rose petals fall slowly to the ground
As I hold the weathered flower close to me
Thinking of the time you gave me the flower
When it was so full of color, so full of life...
That very flower you gave me is dying now,
The petals falling apart, like my very life
As I stand here, tear eyed
Looking down upon your face
I wonder how this could have happened
How you could have left me here all alone
Leaving me standing here with a dying rose,
A rose which was just alive days ago..
Days when you were here with me also
But you aren't with me anymore,
and all i'm left with is this dying rose
