Unsaid

I don’t want to leave anything unsaid.
I told you once I’ll tell you before we’re dead.
Truth is this you never know when we’ll leave this world.
So let me do this now,
The only way I know how.

Back when we were young, 10 years younger, you were the girl I was madly in love with.
I’ve tried so hard to let you know, but I doubt it helped when I gave you those rings as a gift.
Many times I could of told you how I feel.
So I sit there asking myself, “What’s the deal?
So many girls I dated, but it never worked out.
Cause you kept popping into my mind, with no doubt.
I mean I love you, but this seemed like obsession.
It was like I didn’t any possession,
I needed in life was you.
I couldn’t figure out what to do.
Why couldn’t I just walk up to you and say, “I’m in love with you.
Sometimes I think I’m too crazy to live.
But for you, it’d my life I give.

We’ve been best friends for the longest of time.
So I consider not telling you ‘I love you’ a crime.
Cause I was committing treason against myself.
But I had no real reason to blame myself.
I’m just too shy at times, and that’s all there is to it.
I just wish I could gather the guts to admit it.
I’ve always been there for you.
I’ll do anything for you.
I don’t care what anyone else thinks,
I only care about you think.

So many people in my life, it gets confusing.
But when I’m with you, I’m at ease; I’m in my ‘happy place.’
But when we have to depart, my heart just crumbles.
Cause I never want to leave you, I want to stay by your side.
When I needed you the most, you were there.
When I wanted you the most, you were there.
When my life was falling to pieces, you set me back on track.
You may not realize this, but you help me more than you can imagine.
That’s one reason why I’ll always be there for you,
That’s one reason why I’ll always be in love with you.

its a nice heartfelt and caring poem. but, its to long, its like your trying to hard to express your feelings and poems like this dont need to be that long, but thats just my opinion.
and if your gonna rhyme the poem, dont have bits and pieces where it does rhyme and others that dont rhyme at all.

As for the subject matter, youve only got one lifetime to live and as you said in the poem- "Truth is this you never know when we’ll leave this world."

nice write, bones! i liked reading this one and that girl is pretty lucky. and we are all shy at times, especially when it comes to love. i hope that you get the courage to tell her about this and she shares the same feelings for you. back to the poem: it was good and i liked your choice of words at times: very nice! and i liked how you got the emotion out. good luck in getting her to fall for you!

~sprints

p.s. good work, keep it up!
