Passing forever

Contributed by socialmisfit on Saturday, 9th July 2005 @ 04:46:59 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

how long have tears tread down my face
how many nights have taken me deeper in hate
were did i look to find that one place
what did i do to bring my mind to this state?

how many times have i asked
why is it that i wake
how many times did i wonder
is it an angel or a devil i will make

and how long have i been
standing before this looking glass
yelling at my own face
and crying over my broken past

how deep are my fears
how far down do they really go
when will i let my dreams fly?
if i never let them show

and how long has it been
since i became aware
that all i did was live to breathe
and at happiness longingly stare?

how many times will it take on skipping forever
for me to find what's really important

i cant tell you
becouse i dont know
but passing forever has a price
and giving up never works
so take my advice

if given the chance to love.. take it, and don't think twice

i had to read this slowy just so i could absored it and actually try to feel what the writer was expressing.
this was very powerful and the emotion just poured from this write.
i am very impressed with this. there's no great word usage or style but you dont need those in this because you have a masterpiece.
5/5 best poem iv read in a long while.

Oh my...you said you don't think you are qualified to comment on my writes?!?! Let me say you have a wonderful, natural flare for poetry, as is so clearly evident in this amazing write! You did an excellent job conveying your feelings in a very real manner that the reader can most certainly relate to...I loved the whole poem, but the 2nd, 3rd, and especially the 4th stanza really stood out for me...Very well done!!!
Scorp.
