Topic: Grief

There was a time,
I was in love,
I was obsessed,
With your friendship,
It seemed no one else could touch,
I loved you so much,
I never thought it would end this way,
The pain, the hurt the misery,
Not being able to deal with it anymore,
Slowly killing myself,
Slowly watching the man I loved die,
And by the end, knowing that what I loved would never rise again,
Knowing that I couldn't change the past,
Knowing there wasen't anything I could do to get you back,
You became so far away,
Out of the distance,
Out of reach,
So goodbye to my memories,
Good bye to the thing I loved,
The one thing I thought I could never have,
My heart fills with pain at the thought of who we were,
The friendship that I thought would never end,
The man I thought would never change,
So there is only one thing left to do,
Change my feelings and move on with my life,
You no longer care, so why should I?
