My Fault

It's so dark.
Not a beam of light is showing.
I long for that light.
The light that used to shine upon me.
The light that kept me going.
It's been a long time since I stepped outside.
Sheltered within myself.
My own world of shame.
Can I break through these walls?
The walls that have thickened over the years.
Can I find the strength to let myself free
from the prison that I created?
I've been blaming it on everyone else,
but now the truth I can see,
that it wasn't because of you,
it was because of me.
It's my fault.
My fault that the light went away.
My fault that I'm alone.
My fault that I'm trapped.
My fault that everyone left me.
All my fault.

very nice write.words on paper therapy in itself.
