Outer layers of one's self reveal nothing,
They tell no truth's only lies,
You'll never truly know a person,
Until you know their insides.
Inner layers reveal pasttimes, sorrow, pains, and joys,
Outer layers reveal longings to fit in,
Desires to have everyone approve.
Our outsides are coated with what people want us to be,
Only on the inside is where one truly can be set free,
Sometimes the inside is something no one else will ever see,
Maybe that is truly how it should be.
A mystery..........
