The Boy

Topic: SadPoetry

I know this life is rough but I met this boy who told me to never give up,
I've known him for a very long time and always know his life has been harder than mine.
In my eyes this boy knows the true meaning of living and hopes to teach the world the meaning of giving.
He loves to laugh, sing, and cheer but most of all he loves pulling pranks on his peers.
He wants us to know that giving up and letting go is not the way to go,
He said “so little time we have on this earth but forgive us our Father for we do not know how much its worth.
He knew his time was coming to an end so it made him work harder sharing “Him with them.
He knew he was at risk while he was on the operating table, then he relized that his heart wasn’t able to stabilize for that long winter’s fable.
He wanted to say good bye to all his family and friends hoping he would see them again.
He is finally at peace with his Father and telling us not to bother with earthly things but to spend time with what God’s joy has to bring.
Now we sit here with teary eyes remembering the time he impacted our lives.
Now this boy who will always be true in our hearts, in our souls, and in our minds too.
All I have left to say is that I miss you and love you Drew, and I hope to see you up there someday soon.
