Upon my Death

Contributed by ladyfawn on Thursday, 9th January 2003 @ 11:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

If I should Die before I awake,
Or driving this Mountain I make a mistake,
I Wish my Poetry my Daughter to take,
And My Wish is that She Publish.

Most of my Animals will be able to be re-homed,
Though Mastiff Rescue will need to be phoned,
Huggs for my sweet Son Mick Who lives away,
Darlings, You'll all again have Happy Days,

I leave the Farm to my Daughter Mara dear,
My littlest George to her; I want that clear,
Mara will need help from all of You;
This is My Wish; and it is True.

~Nessa Sharon Miller~

This is good although it worries me. Keep up your poems. Whats up with the Mastiff Rescue part? Keep smiling...

it's a good idea to let ppl know these sort of things, since we never know when we might not be around to tell them.

Dearest Joel, Thank You for asking:)
(Engish Mastiffs) Mastiff Club of America and Neapolitain Mastiff Rescue (whom my Dogs would need) (all over the world for all breeds) are organizations that re-homes the Big Dogs.. mine are 200 average, although my largest was Oliver who was 240pounds.. not your average re-homing lol The most Rescue Mastiffs (of the Englesh variety) I had in my house at one time was 7.. I never saw the bed lol.. they love being comfy, you know, really just big lap doggies.. Anyway; I want Mastiff Rescue to take in my dogs and re-home them should my daughter Mara not be able to care for them, and my Neapolitain is a beast and Mara definatly would need help with him:)
Love, Huggs, Drools and Woofies
Always Nessa

.....Good way to get my attention, mom. Of course I'd take care of the farm and everything if you... Don't want to think about it. Better live to be a hundred, too. I would probably need help from your friends here 'cause I don't know how to publish--yet-- anything that you've written. Erm... I know you're being a realist, but this is something that was kinda hard for me to answer. -_-'

Love ya',
Mara xoxo :P

This made me smile Nessa because I had only just been writing my Will the other day, and thinking about "who will I give this too, who will I give that too" .... and I thought "mmm .... what will happen to my poetry as my daughter is only 9!" .... well, I guess it all just disappears into the mist somewhere .... Enjoyed this one.

This is a topic that one often finds quite difficult to raise with one's children. Your approach I found to be very creative and low key...which I thought great!! My thanks to both you and your daughter for sharing. ta rosie
