Not a single trusted my flame
But with this I do not blame
Burned bright all through the eve
Flimsy fire proved brave not to leave
But wind blows around the wick
Wanting warm and not cold to stick
Gust blew and whirled around
Listen close there is not a sound
My flare danced in place
Silky motion sits in space
Shadow slithered on the wall
The height of heat grew tall
Light on background aglow
Wanting melted wax to slow
I yearned for air to settle
Atmosphere to choose its battle
A stuffy room a windy night
Stubborn fame blow out don’t fight

I love the light of a candle. You have imagery here that serves it well.
Well written indeed!
Do it again,
Warm love
